year. the market has been heating up with phone and cable
internet service providers competition. many offering special
deals to lure in new customers with discounts. Unfortunately,
broadband service is still available in limited areas. DSL is
usually limited to within about 8000 ft of the central switching
office, after which performance degrades, and in some older
systems, DSL may not be possible at all. Cable on the other
